Unexpectedly Happy !!!

We just celebrated Aadi’s third birthday at home. It was real fun but kept it among us this time. As in my hubby’s family they follow the rule of not celebrating the b’day of any member on that same particular day, so it has to be either ahead or later. This year we decided to celebrate it a day ahead. It was Tuesday after office hours my hubby gave a call to get ready, to go out to buy son’s birthday gift. I was very excited and we left within an hour for shopping. We had just determined to present him a bike this time. He unknowingly was trying it at the shop, thinking it is only a trial toy which will be left behind at the store like any other days. He was so innocently unaware of the fact even after buying it. Then we proceeded toward a restaurant for eating and in the mean time, my hubby went to leave it in the car.

After having some pasta and sandwiches we did some window shopping. Then we came across a bakery store, so lucky enough to get a cake for his b’day. It was a Rocky Road Chocolate Cake from “Sugarhouse” . We got the cake and left for home. After we reached home and got the bike from the car, Aadi’s face was thrilled with smile and he was astonishingly overwhelmed with the fact that we got the bike for him, which he never expected.

Then comes the cake cutting episode. We somehow prepared to have a surprise blast so arranged the cake on the dinner table and put the candles on the cake and started blowing and cutting the cake and hence his third birthday was celebrated without any arrangement and preparation.
